The system is based on a sophisticated optimization of address, mailing and Internet components. The addresses are protected by a code and uploaded on the Internet. The code is visible to the recipient in the mailing. The recipient is addressed personally once the code (as indicated in the mailing) is entered on the website. This makes it very easy for the recipient to respond (1:1). The sender can perform analyses (1:n) with no time delay and no recording effort. The address and dialog data remain in digital format throughout the process.

First you will need to successfully register. Once you have done so, an e-mail will automatically be sent to the e-mail address which you provide. Open this e-mail and click on the confirmation URL. A website confirming your successful authorization will then open. After your account has been activated, you can log in with the user name and password of your choice and create interactive mailing projects. With the Infopost-Manager software from Deutsche Post AG. This ultimate solution in the field of address optimization is an indispensable tool for nearly all senders of advertising mail. Proceed as follows:

1. Create a mailing project (on the Addressdialog website).
2. Export project information
3. Import project information (in Infopost-Manager)
4. Perform address optimization as usual
5. Use result mail merge or address export function

Each code is an unmistakable address identifier assigned to a data set and can be integrated into the mailing.

Just as with other mail merge fields (first name, last name, street, house number, postal code, city and title). Simply place the field labeled ?address identifier? in the location where the code is to appear. Eye-catchers such as colored markings, scratch-off boxes or the placement of the code in a closed envelope attract attention and increase response.

Infopost-Manager plays an important role here as well. Proceed as follows:

1. Create a mailing project (on the Addressdialog website).
2. Export project information
3. Import project information (in Infopost-Manager)
4. Perform address optimization as usual
5. Export results to Addressdialog

Follow the mask interface guide here, initially integrating a maximum of five address fields into the Addressdialog export. These are needed as matching criteria in order to subsequently relocate the addresses processed by customers (e.g. unambiguous customer number).

After the successful export via Infopost-Manager, the file thus created can be uploaded into the appropriate project on the Addressdialog website.

There are fundamentally two options for the integration of personalized elements on the Web:

1. XML
   The individual pieces of address data can be provided as variables via a downloadable script and used everywhere on the page. This can include such features as a personalized form of address or a pre-completed form.

2. I-Frame
   A microsite within a normal HTML site. This page is located on Deutsche Post?s server, but can be adapted to the design of your site with the aid of a CSS file. Ideal for placement of an address box.

Integration of these components onto websites is described in detail in the manual. There you will also find prepared scripts in various programming languages which you can insert into your source text via copy and paste.

By looking at the project statistics. Every successful log-in with a code is counted (lead). Address changes and cancellations are also listed separately for each day. This means you can monitor the response "just-in-time."

As long a you want it to. Deutsche Post requests a period of approx. four workdays (posting + 4) for the delivery of Infopost and Infobrief items to recipients. You can already expect replies from the time of posting onward, however. This is when the actual response phase begins. The mailing addressee receives your letter, opens it and reacts. You can check if responses are still coming in each day in the project statistics and officially end the project when there is no more response.

In three ways:

1. SSL/TLS standard
   In order to ensure secure data transmission we use the generally recognized SSL/TLS standard with an encryption strength of at least 128 bits for the operation of Addressdialog.
2. Encrypted code
   On the basis of cryptographic procedure, we have developed an encrypted code (with letters and numbers) which is valid for a limited time only. This means a new code is generated for the next mailing to the same recipient. A patent application has been submitted for this secure innovative code generation procedure.
3. State-of-the-art computer center / Your mailing
   The data is stored in one of the most modern computer centers in the world. In addition, you decide how the communicated data is protected when you design your mailing. Obviously you will probably chose not to use recipient data requiring protection in an advertising mailing.

The business reply service will continue to be offered as a classic direct marketing response element that enables customers to respond to advertising impulses without using the Internet. To ensure that the classic sales letter (as Infobrief and Infopost) remains attractive for the advertising industry, we are now offering a convenient reply option over the Internet in the form of Addressdialog.

Your mailings and your website appear in your individual look and feel. You use only the technical infrastructure supplied by Deutsche Post.

No medium spread faster than Internet: From 1997 to 2006 the portion of the Internet users in Germany rose from 6,5 per cent to 59,5 per cent. 38,6 million adults are in the meantime on-line. To these results comes the ARD/ZDF-online-study 2006. Within this country wide representative study in the April of this year 1,820 adults in Germany were asked.

The modules offered by ADDRESSDIALOG are optional. You do not have to use them. The same results can be obtained through self-generated or self-programmed dialog fields. It is certainly more economical, however, to work with pre-existing modules and incur only low variable costs. One receives well-structured address change and cancellation information that can be immediately used for further processing.

Duplicates are never calculated in the price for leads, i.e. successful, code-based log-ins. Experience has shown that customers often log in more than once. But you pay only once.
